IMS PRIVATE SCHOOL HOSTS KITION ASTRONOMY ACADEMY

KITION ASTRONOMY ACADEMY is an exciting and systematic study of astronomy for high school students based on the rich teaching experience of KITION PLANETARIUM & OBSERVATORY and the needs of modern astronomy. The Astronomy Academy is a combination of theory and practice. The curriculum is designed by enthusiastic scientists who do research, make discoveries and have scientific publications.

Registration for the course which runs from November 2024 to June 2025 has already started and is open to everybody, not just students of IMS Private School.  Students who successfully complete the course of study receive a diploma upon completion of the curriculum. It is worth mentioning that high school students who attended the course in the previous years have achieved distinctions in the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics, including the first gold and bronze medals for Cyprus, the first such achievements of Cyprus in international level.

The course will consist of 29 one-hour sessions, one every week. The schedule is in KitionAstronomyAcademy-2024-2025. You can register at the reception desk of IMS Private School.

The cost is 600 euro payable in 8 monthly instalments of 75 euro or 550 euro if paid in advance.
